Gain practical field experience with a team working at the intersection of clean energy, sustainable livelihoods, and rural enterprise development.
Mlinda Charitable Trust offers internship opportunities for students and early-career professionals who want to contribute to environmentally sustainable development in rural India. Our work spans clean energy-based livelihoods, climate-resilient agriculture, livestock management, and micro-enterprise development across Jharkhand and neighbouring regions.
Interns work alongside our field and programme teams at our operational office in Gumla and across project blocks in Gumla, Lohardaga, and Simdega districts. You will gain exposure to community engagement, project implementation, monitoring, and the realities of grassroots development work.
We welcome applications from students and graduates in development studies, environmental science, agriculture, social work, rural management, economics, and related disciplines. Prior field experience is helpful but not required — curiosity, commitment, and willingness to work in rural settings matter most.
Internships are typically 4–12 weeks, with flexible start dates. Most placements are based at our Gumla field office, with regular travel to project villages. Accommodation support may be available for outstation candidates — mention your requirements in the application.
